Managed Procurement Network — questions & answers
Common questions
What is the MBC Managed Procurement Network?
A managed (not open) B2B procurement network. Verified suppliers are listed and buyers source through MBC — but the two sides never deal directly. MBC vets every listing and routes all communication, quotations, negotiation and sourcing.
Can buyers and suppliers contact each other directly?
No. Buyers cannot contact suppliers and suppliers cannot contact buyers. Every enquiry, quote and negotiation is handled by MBC, keeping both sides private.
How is buyer privacy protected?
Buyers cannot see supplier contact details, and suppliers cannot see buyer details. Buyers submit enquiries through MBC, which manages the entire process confidentially.
How is supplier privacy protected?
Suppliers' contact details and price lists are never shown publicly. Suppliers cannot see buyer details, and all communication is routed through MBC.
Who approves the listings?
MBC. Every supplier, product and service is reviewed and approved before it is published, so buyers only see verified, genuine options.
What does it cost?
Browsing and posting enquiries is free for buyers; listing is free for verified suppliers. MBC earns mainly through a savings/success-based fee on completed sourcing, and optional featured placement.
How does savings-based pricing work?
For buyers, MBC agrees a clean baseline, then sources and negotiates on your behalf. Our fee is a share of the verified Year-1 savings (typically 10–25%). No savings, no success fee.
How do I enquire about a product?
Use the “Inquire via MBC” button on any product, service or supplier. Your enquiry goes to MBC, which connects you with the verified supplier confidentially.
Can the marketplace handle many listings?
Yes — it's designed to scale to thousands of products and services, with search, category filters, featured suppliers and a latest-products section.
Still have a question?
Message MBC and we'll explain how confidential sourcing works for your situation.
